FAIRMONT, W.Va. — The victim in a fatal Fairmont fire, currently under investigation as an arson case, has been identified as Cheryl Diane Willis.
Willis, 44, lived alone at 517 Gaston Avenue, Apt. 3. The fire occurred Friday, March 15.
She was pronounced dead at UMPC Mercy Hospital the following day.
Police have identified a person of interest, who is apparently in custody for an unrelated manner.
Investigators are awaiting the return of evidence currently under testing at the West Virginia State Police crime lab.
