UPDATE — One east bound lane has been opened since the vehicle fire.
CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. — Traffic has been stalled for multiple hours in eastbound lanes of I-64 in Cabell County after a vehicle caught fire.
According to WV 511, the fire was reported at around 1 p.m. near mile marker 30. That’s on the Cabell-Putnam County line.
Cabell County dispatchers say the fire was caused by a two-vehicle accident. No injuries were immediately reported from the accident.
Cabell County Schools has said that bus transportation could be delayed significantly, especially in the eastern part of the county.
