Investigators with the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration are continuing an on-site investigation in Brooke County where a worker was killed while helping to install a natural gas pipeline.
The accident happened Sunday evening near the community of Bethany when the contractor Precision Pipeline was installing a 120-foot section of pipeline which crashed through the windshield of a piece of equipment. The worker operating the equipment was killed.
Investigators from the OSHA office in Charleston responded immediately to the scene and were continuing their investigation Tuesday.
The worker killed was an employee of Precision Pipeline.
