Minard replacement down to three

The 12th Senatorial District Democratic Executive Committee has chosen three possible replacements to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Joe Minard. The three are: current House of Delegates members Tim Miley and Sam Cann and Harrison County Commissioner Mike Romano.

Within the next few days Governor Tomblin will choose one of the three to replace Minard, who stepped down to assume the position of Senate Clerk.

Meanwhile, the Governor will soon have another position to fill.  15th District Senator Walt Helmick will resign next week to assume his new elected position of Agriculture Commissioner.  The 15th Senatorial District Executive Committee will meet Jan. 18thin Romney to select a list of possible replacements for Helmick.
