Mason County man sentence for illegally dumping sewage

A Mason County man is heading to prison for dumping sewage illegally.

Frank Zuspan, 61, was sentenced Tuesday to a year and a half in federal prison for dumpingĀ a pollutant into waters of the United States without a permit.

Zuspan admitted in court to taking a 2400 gallon sewage truck to property in Mason County and illegally dumped sewage onto the property in December 2010.

He further admitted that the sewage was dumped into a lake and stream watershed in Mason County that connected to the Ohio River.

Zuspan also admitted to dumping sewage multiple times between November 2010 and February 2011.

Zuspan pleaded guilty to the charge back in September 2012.
