Greenbrier employees ratify five-year agreement

Union employees at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs overwhelmingly ratified a new contract with the resort.

The vote was 549 in favor and 37 against by members of Workers United local 863.

It’s the first time employees have worked under a five-year contract.  The new agreement takes effect on Thursday at midnight when the old contract expires.

“The agreement signed today is an incredibly important milestone, not only for The Greenbrier and our employees, but also the resort’s guests,” Jim Justice, owner of The Greenbrier, said in a prepared statement issued Friday evening. “It speaks volumes for the resort’s longevity and the strong partnership we have established with our more than 1,200 hard-working employees at The Greenbrier.”
