Grantham, WVU not a fit

Martinsburg’s Donte Grantham won’t be a part of WVU’s 2013 basketball recruiting class after all, it appears. The 2013 state player of the year in West Virginia received a scholarship offer from WVU in early April, but didn’t commit.

Now, West Virginia is moving in a different direction. The Mountaineers earlier this week announced the signing of JUCO forward Jonathan Holton and received a commitment from another JUCO forward in Remi Dibo, taking the last scholarship currently available for WVU.

Grantham, meanwhile, still has other offers on the table with Division I schools, but could also wind up at a prep school.
