Huntington’s Dunn-Martin wins Evans Award

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Huntington boys basketball senior guard Tavian Dunn-Martin was selected as 2015-16 Evans Award recipient, which goes to the state’s best boys basketball player, as voted by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association.

Dunn-Martin averaged 21 points and four assists per game this past season as the Highlanders (25-2) finished as state runners-up in Class AAA to Morgantown. Dunn-Martin finished just ahead of South Charleston’s Brandon Knapper, Wheeling Central’s Chase Harler and Magnolia’s Preston Boswell in the voting.

Dunn-Martin is signed to play college basketball at Akron.
