CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Members of Governor-elect Jim Justice’s family will lead his inauguration committee.
Justice announced today that the incoming first lady, Cathy Justice, his daughter, Dr. Jill Justice and son, Jay Justice, will serve as co-chairmen of the committee while former Democratic Party chairman Nick Casey will be the committee’s treasurer. The Justice family will be announcing additional members of the inaugural committee in the coming weeks.
The inauguration will be Monday, Jan. 16, 2017.
Each member of Justice’s family commented on the announcement.
Cathy Justice: “It’s truly a special moment for our state and we want to make Jim’s inauguration a special day for the people of West Virginia.
Jill Justice, who is now president of The Greenbrier: “We want the inauguration to be a celebration of how great West Virginia is and all of the potential we have.”
Jay Justice, who now runs the family’s coal companies: “We’ve always done things as a family and Dad’s inauguration won’t be any different.”
