CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The state Capitol has started to take on the look of Christmas.
Capitol grounds workers were putting up wreaths and bows around the complex early this week. The seat of West Virginia government was filled with at least a little bit of holiday cheer.
State officials, including the governor, usually celebrate the holiday season with “Joyful Night” around the first of December. That includes singing Christmas carols on the Capitol steps and lighting a very large Christmas tree.
