Hearing for man charged with murder in Martinsburg carjacking case postponed

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A preliminary hearing scheduled for Thursday afternoon for the man accused of attacking an elderly woman will be continued.

Adam Domer

The Berkeley County Prosecuting Attorney’s office confirmed to MetroNews affiliate WEPM that the hearing was continued due to the suspect having a medical emergency. Domer was transported to Morgantown for treatment.

The hearing for 36-year-old Adam Lee Domer will be rescheduled for a later date. He has already been charged with grand larceny, two counts of malicious wounding, and robbery.

Joan Staubs, 86, was attacked leaving her home to go to church on September 2 in a suspected carjacking. She died due to severe head trauma.
