Three Guys Before The Game – 1 To Forget

An early big lead turned into a late big loss for the Mountaineer basketball team. Saturday’s setback at top-rated Tennessee was the sixth loss in seven games for WVU.

Now what? The Mountaineers return to Big 12 play on Wednesday hurting both physically and mentally. Junior guard Beetle Bolden’s sprained ankle forced him out of Saturday’s game. His status remains in doubt.

Wednesday’s game against Iowa State begins a three game in five day stretch with two of the contests on the road.

Iowa State, dealt with injuries early in the season, but has won three of its last four games. At 15-5 overall, the Cyclones have a legitimate chance to unseat defending champion Kansas. Iowa State was the most impressive team in Saturday’s SEC/Big 12 Challenge. The Cyclones pounded 20th ranked Ole Miss in Oxford 87-73.
