Fundraiser launched for woman shot at former Monongalia County night club

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — An online fundraiser is attempting to raise $8,000 for the apparent victim of Saturday’s shooting at Exotic Life Gentleman’s Club in the Richard community.

A GoFundMe page was launched Monday in support of Angela Wolfe, 27, who was injured when a series of shots were fired outside the club around 5:30 a.m.

Wolfe was struck in the leg and has undergone two surgeries, according to the GoFundMe page.

Wolfe was listed in fair condition at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital on Thursday, a spokesperson said.

The Monongalia County Sheriffs Department arrested Fred L. Hudson, formerly of Detroit, on Wednesday in connection with the shooting. He faces three charges, including a firearms violation, and reportedly admitted to firing into a crowd.

The department hasn’t identified Wolfe as the victim or released details about the incident.

A neighbor told WVMetroNews he heard at least 16 shots ring out after an early morning altercation.

The club reportedly was rented out for an after-hours memorial service.
