UPDATE: One dead, two injured after Martinsburg shooting

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — One person is dead and two others are recovering from injuries after a Saturday night shooting in Martinsburg.

According to the Martinsburg Police Department, the incident happened before 9:30 p.m. behind the Moose Lodge on Woodbury Avenue. Martinsburg Police, deputies with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department and West Virginia State Police responded to the scene.

Kevin Gedeon and Montezz Lincoln, both 34, were found laying on the ground. A third person, 34-year-old Marty Liscombe, is being treated at Winchester Medical Center from gunshot wounds.

Police confirmed Sunday that Gedeon died at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Virginia.

Authorities found a stolen .45 caliber handgun at the scene.

Investigators believe this was an isolated incident that began with a dispute and the public is not in danger.
