BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — A small business jet made an emergency landing at the North Central West Virginia Airport Wednesday at around 3:15 p.m.
Airport Deputy Director Shawn Long said the plane’s pilot reported problems.
“Their aircraft batteries has started overheating and had taken signs of smoke within the cabin,” Long said.
The four passengers and pilot were not hurt.
The airport’s incident response team and Bridgeport Fire Department were on the ground waiting, Long said.
“We have a great community with all the different departments and great relationships with them. When situations like this occur we always know they’re here to help,” he said.
