Berkeley County deputies looking for vehicle in hit-and-run involving pedestrian

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — An investigation continues after a person was struck by two vehicles in Berkeley County.

The crash happened at 5:07 pm near the intersection of Williamsport Pike and Meadow Lane.

Berkeley County Sheriff Curtis Keller confirmed 51 year-old James Stone was hit by one vehicle, which fled the scene, then was hit by a second vehicle that stayed on scene.

Stone remains in critical condition. Deputies are still looking for the first vehicle that fled the scene.

The vehicle is described as an early 1990’s to 2000’s Subaru passenger car with damage to its front.
