Fire claims life in Taylor County

FLEMINGTON, W.Va. — A person was killed in a structure fire Friday evening in Taylor County.

According to the state Fire Marshal’s Office, the blaze occurred at a house on Simpson Road near Flemington at around 4:40 p.m.

Fire crews from Flemington, Bridgeport and Boothsville were on the scene.

There was no immediate on what may have started the blaze or the identity of the victim.
