Former Martinsburg Mayor Tony Senecal dead at 78

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A former Mayor of Martinsburg has died.

Tony Senecal

According to his obituary, Anthony “Tony” Senecal died Tuesday in Plattsburgh, New York.

Senecal began working as a teacher in Martinsburg. He became the owner and operator of the Anthony House in Martinsburg.

He also ran the Olde Berkeley Tea and Tobacco Shop in Martinsburg.

Senecal became mayor of Martinsburg in the 1990’s and retired to Lake Worth, Florida.

He also served as Donald Trump’s butler before a second retirement in 2016.

Senecal will be buried in his hometown of Plattsburgh, New York.
