Harrison County first responder tests positive for coronavirus

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Harrison County health officials on Tuesday confirmed a positive coronavirus test of a first responder.

The test has been traced to an Aug. 1 event at the Bel Meadow Golf Club. The Harrison County Office of Emergency Management is assisting in the related evaluation.

Health officials also said the case is not the start of an outbreak, which is defined as three or more cases from an event or location.

Emergency workers that attended the event are urged to get tested.
