Man dead, second man injured in shooting outside of Berkeley bar

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A man was killed and another man critically injured in a shooting Sunday morning outside a Berkeley County bar.

Police said Vance Anthony Trotman Jr., 26, of Hagerstown, Md. died of gunshot wounds not long after the 2 a.m. shooting at Mountaineer Grill and Pub. A second man, Devon Gordon Jr., 29, of Martinsburg, is in critical condition at a Virginia hospital.

According to Berkeley County Sheriff Curtis Keller, a patrolling deputy heard the gunshots and responded to the scene. Investigators are still trying to determine what lead up to the shootings.
