CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The state Department of Health and Human Resources reported 413 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases Wednesday. Active cases statewide are now at 7,309.
Hospitalizations are showing better numbers in recent days, officials said.
There were 239 people hospitalized in Wednesday’s report with 57 of those patients in ICU.
The state added nine COVID-19 deaths in the latest report including a 73-year old female from Harrison County, a 53-year old male from Marshall County, a 94-year old female from Berkeley County, a 65-year old male from Wood County, an 89-year old male from Marshall County, a 56-year old female from Cabell County, a 90-year old male from Wayne County, a 59-year old female from Raleigh County, and a 68-year old male from Putnam County.
Overall deaths are now at 2,756.
Those fully vaccinated in West Virginia from the virus is now at 471,901.
