Morgantown shuts down Washington to claim 2-0 win, Class AAA crown

BECKLEY, W.Va. — Morgantown scored 17 minutes into Saturday’s Class AAA state championship and never looked back, beating Washington 2-0 Saturday in Beckley.

Caden Carpenter drew first blood in the 17th minute and Connor Brumbaugh added another in the 26th to account for all of the scoring.

Defensively the Mohigans were sharp, limiting Washington to just one shot in the win.
