Report: WVU starting defensive lineman Jordan Jefferson enters transfer portal

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports is reporting that WVU junior defensive lineman Jordan Jefferson has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Jefferson started all 12 games this season for West Virginia at defensive tackle. He collected 31 tackles (9.5 for loss) and three sacks in his fourth season with the Mountaineers. Jefferson played in 42 games at WVU, making him the fifth most-tenured player on the West Virginia roster. Jefferson has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Fifth-year senior Dante Stills has exhausted his eligibility and Taijh Alston is seeking a seventh season at another school. Bluefield native Sean Martin is the most experienced player set to return for the Mountaineers in 2023.
