One shot and one charged in Marion County

MONONGAH, W.Va. — Marion County authorities say one person was shot and a second arrested after a fight Friday turned into gunfire.

Sheriff Jimmy Riffle said William Kragenbrink, 25, of Farmington was shot in the altercation at a bar in the Monongah community early Friday morning. He remains hospitalized, but his condition is not known.

Deputies arrested Caleb Green, 22. Green is charged with malicious wounding and may face additional charges.

Investigators say alcohol was a direct contributing factor to the crime.
