Barbour deputies arrest man after shooting injures woman in Belington

BELINGTON, W.Va. — A man is in custody following a shooting in Barbour County that left a woman injured.

Matthew Logan Frame, 36, was arrested Tuesday night following a lengthy pursuit from Randolph into Barbour County, according to a post from the Barbour County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page.

The shooting happened at around 4 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Crim and Brown Avenues in Belington. Deputies said Frame and the woman got into an argument at the intersection of Crim and Brown Avenues which escalated to shots being fired.

The woman was shot while sitting in her car. She was treated and released from the hospital.

Frame is accused of taking off from in a 2018 or 2019 black GMC Terrain.

Frame was booked in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail without bail.
