Pennsylvania man faces felony charges after threatening to shoot up Mon General

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A Pennsylvania man has been charged with felony terroristic threats after an incident Mon General Hospital on Friday.

Police responded Friday morning after employees told security guards that Codie Holbert, 28, of Uniontown, Pa., allegedly threatened to “shoot up” the hospital if he was terminated, according to a criminal complaint.

Witnesses told police Holbert was known to carry firearms and came into the hospital that day with a backpack.

Witnesses also said they saw Holbert drinking alcohol.

Police arrested Holbert, impounded his vehicle, and seized the backpack as part of the investigation.

Holbert is currently being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $50,000 bond.
