Inside a C-17 Globemaster III

The air show features flyovers by the giant C-5 Galaxy.

Helicopters from both the Navy and the Marines were part of the static displays. Crews and mechanics were on hand to answer questions.

This B-25J Panchito was on static display but also did a flyover.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — “West Virginia’s Greatest Air Show” was held Saturday and Sunday at the Eastern West Virginia Regional Airport near Martinsburg.

The event commemorated the 100th anniversary of Shepherd Field and featured static displays and aircraft demonstrations.

The show featured flyovers by the giant C-5 Galaxy and the C-17 Globemaster, both of which have flown out of the 1-67th Airlift Wing recently. Visitors could also tour the C-17 and learn about the C-130 as part of the show’s static displays.
