Couple indicted in son’s death

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. — A Charles Town-area couple face felony child neglect and abuse charges for the alleged shaking death of their 1-month-old son at home in February.

The Spirit of Jefferson newspaper reports John Joshua Fellers, 21, and Angel Marie Sims, 23, of the 900 block of Cattail Run Road, pleaded not guilty while they were arraigned recently on separate charges.

Fellers and Sims are scheduled to be tried by a jury together beginning April 9, 2024. They were separately indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury last month.
