Three dead, 1 injured, in Weirton double murder suicide

WEIRTON, W.Va. — Two women are dead, a third woman hospitalized and the alleged shooter dead following a domestic incident at a house in Weirton from the weekend

Weirton police were called to a house on Miami Avenue at just after midnight Saturday. When they arrived they found Jordan Bettino, 25, and Zoe Antoniou, 26, dead. They had been shot.

Police said a third woman, Desiree McDiffitt, 30, suffered gunshot wounds and is hospitalized.

The alleged shooter, Brennan Bailey, 33, was found dead at the residence of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

“We don’t have a positive motive at this moment. We’re still talking to family and still talking to friends and we hope to get a better statement from the female who was transported to a Pittsburgh hospital to see what she can tell us,” said Weirton Chief of Police Charlie Kush.

Kush added two of the victims were sisters and the shooter was the boyfriend of one of the victims who was planning on spending the ight.

The mother of the victims was upstairs asleep and there were a total of four children in the house when the shooting occurred. None of the kids or the mother was injured in the incident.

“She was sleeping at the time, but we’re still talking to her. The girlfriend of the shooter, we’ve interviewed her and we’re hoping to eventually interview the victim who survived,” said Kush.
