Texas woman to spend time in prison for defrauding elderly West Virginia man

ELKINS, W.Va. — A Texas woman will serve time in prison for her defrauding of an elderly West Virginia man.

Tosha Lantz, 31, of Aransas Pass, Texas, was sentenced to 6 months in federal prison Tuesday for mail fraud.

Lantz was residing in Randolph County when she transferred funds from the bank accounts of an elderly man to her for personal benefit. Lantz also opened credit cards for her use with the elderly man’s information.

Lantz defrauded the man of a total of $32,400.
