Flames rip through house on Charleston’s East End; one person injured

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A house on Charleston’s East End sustained significant damage in a Saturday night fire.

The blaze was reported at shortly after 7 p.m. at a brick house house in the 1500 block of Jackson Street.

One person was injured, authorities said.

Charleston fire crews were on the scene. An investigation into the cause of the blaze is underway.
