The WVU football and basketball teams each earned victories. Coach Darian DeVries’ team used an explosive start to defeat UMass. The WVU women’s team forced a head-spinning 44 turnovers in a rout of Niagara, while the Mountaineer football team used its defense and special teams to dispatch Cincinnati.
