State Police investigating Ritchie County shooting that left one dead

PENNSBORO, W.Va. — An investigation is underway after a man died in a Ritchie County shooting last week.

According to State Police, troopers were called to a shooting a camper along Farley’s Run Road around Pennsboro last Friday.

Upon arrival, troopers found a man dead and a female suspect who was injured and unresponsive.

According to investigators, first aid was given to the suspect until EMS arrived on scene.

The suspect was taken to Camden Clark Hospital and Ruby Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.

No further information was made available.
