MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Berkeley County man has been arrested for allegedly setting fire to a Potomac Energy transformer earlier this month.
The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office reports Travis Thomas Gue, 45, of Martinsburg, was arrested May 18 on third-degree arson charges for the fire that happened at a ground-mounted transformer located in the Crestview Drive area of Martinsburg. Authorities said the fire occurred on May 1.
Gue is also charged with fleeing on foot, disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer after he attempted to flee on foot while being arrested Monday by Berkeley County Sheriff deputies.
Gue is currently at the Eastern Regional Jail on a $30,000.00 bail.
