LEWISBURG, W.Va. — Greenbrier County deputies say a compliance check at a home in the Fairlea community led to a significant drug bust in their county this week.
The county’s adult probation office was doing a spot check on the home of Todd Brown who is on probation. The probation officers noticed several pieces of drug paraphernalia and possibly illegal drugs. They communicated their findings to the sheriff’s department who obtained a search warrant for the premises.

Deputies recovered $2500 in cash along with heroin, fentanyl, marijuana, and prescription medication. Three people were arrested including Todd Brown. Also arrested were Amanda Campbell and Sierah Wright. The three are charged with felony possession with intent to deliver illegal drugs. All three are in the Southern Regional Jail.
Armed with information from that search, deputies were able to get a search warrant for another home in the same area. There deputies arrested Trevor Mayhew and Taylor Sutton and recovered $1000 cash, fentanyl, marijuana and drug dealing paraphernalia. Mayhew and Sutton were charged control with intent to deliver fentanyl.
Greenbrier County Sheriff Bart Baker issued the following statement on the bust:
“Let me be absolutely clear: the men and women of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office—and all law enforcement officers throughout Greenbrier County—are growing increasingly vigilant against those who traffic in this poison and those that use it preying upon our law-abiding citizens. I currently lead 29 well-trained and highly motivated deputies who are working tirelessly to put an end to this lawlessness. I have directed them to seek you out and arrest you. If you are released and continue your criminal behavior, we will arrest you again—and again—until you either stop, are incarcerated, or leave this county for good.”
