ELKINS, W.Va. –An altercation between two employees at a Japanese restaurant in Elkins Friday afternoon resulted in them both suffering stab wounds.
According to the West Virginia State Police, the incident occurred around 1:35 p.m. when a physical altercation broke out between Shi Span Pink, 48, and Chen Shu Shuo, 56, at Sakura. During the altercation, Pink allegedly used a knife to cut Shuo’s face.
Pink also suffered a cut to his hand, however that is believed to have been self-inflicted. The altercation was broken up by several off-duty members of local law enforcement who were dining in the restaurant at the time.
The officers quickly intervened and were able to secure the scene while they waited for uniformed personnel.
Both individuals were arrested and taken to a local hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation is ongoing.
