BECKLEY, W.Va. — A successful effort from U.S. Marshal’s in southern West Virginia has taken dozens of felons off the street.
Operation Rolling Waters was conducted from August 5 through August 30. 74 arrests were made during the operation and Marshal’s seized three pounds of methamphetamine, 60 grams of fentanyl and 25 grams of crack cocaine.
According to a Wednesday release from the U.S. Marshals Service, 13 guns were also seized, as well as roughly $12,000 in cash.
The release also went on to say that two convicted sex offenders were federally indicted.
Among the charges handed down are wanton endangerment, child endangerment, child abuse and neglect, human trafficking, sexual assault and possession of child pornography along with weapons, parole and probation violations.
The release detailed some of the key arrests, which included a convicted murderer and several others involved in a Princeton shooting.
Casey Geroge Rygh, 46, of Olmstead, Minnesota, was arrested as part of Operation Rolling Waters. Investigators say Rygh, the convicted murderer, was wanted for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Five individuals have been charged with wanton endangerment and conspiracy in connected to a shooting that occurred near a Princeton church. Those individuals are as follows:
Kameron Morris, 21, of Princeton, Kameron Starkey, 19, of Northfork, Kendrick Moore, 25, of Bluefield, David DiNardo, 22, of Princeton and Brandon Williams, 26, of Princeton.
