First responder hurt while fighting Preston County blaze

TERRA ALTA, W.Va. — One firefighter was injured while battling a blaze in the Terra Alta area early Monday morning.

Firefighters from Terra Alta, Albright, Oakland, Mount Grove, Tunnelton, Masontown, Deep Creek and Aurora responded to the Spruce Run Road home to assist the Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department at 3:30 a.m.

The unidentified first responder suffered a shoulder injury while fighting the fire.

It is not know which department the injured first responder was with.

Because of temperatures and road conditions firefighter were on the scene for six hours.

No other information has been released.
