HARRISON COUNTY, W.Va. — A Friday morning accident has claimed a life and left another person injured.
The three-vehicle crash was reported just before 11:20 a.m. on WV Rt. 20, Barbour Pike, at the 57 split.
According to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department, one vehicle involved in the accident went over the guard rail. A passenger in that vehicle was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger was taken to WVU Medicine’s United Hospital Center for injuries.
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department is handling the investigation.
The roadway has since reopened.
