Beckley pastor appointed to WV House of Delegates

CHARLESTON, W.Va. –Governor Patrick Morrisey announced an appointment to the West Virginia House of Delegates Tuesday that will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Brandon Steele.

Morrisey appointed John K. Jordan to represent the 42nd district.

Jordan earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of The Cumberlands and a Master of Science in Church Leadership from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.

Since 1998, he has been Lead Pastor at Calvary Assembly of God in Beckley, where he has guided the church in weekly sermons and scriptural teachings, facilitating weekly ministries, and providing pastoral care and counseling. He also was responsible for supervising daily office operations, developing the annual Church Budget, and managing finances.

He also serves as Assistant Superintendent of the Appalachian Ministry Network and General Presbyter of the General Council of the Assemblies of God.

Along with his Church duties, he has also served as Chaplain at Raleigh General Hospital since 2000.
