Cause of Morgantown fire under investigation

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Several fire crews responded to a structure fire fire in the 1800 block of Mileground Road Monday.

The fire was reported at 4:40 p.m. behind the Sheetz caused heavy smoke slowing traffic on the roadway.

Firefighters from Morgantown, Brookhaven, Cheat Lake, Granville, Star City and Westover responded to the scene.

The cause is under investigation.

No injuries were reported.

Monongalia County sheriff’s deputies and state police troopers provided traffic control while crews battled the blaze.
