CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A Philadelphia man who managed a large distribution ring that sold methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine throughout the state will spend 20 years in federal prison.
Ryan Rasheed Shaw, 29, of Philadelphia, is accused of bring significant quantities of drugs to the Morgantown area. Shaw took orders from the Philadelphia-based drug ring by Rodney Johnson.
Court documents said Shaw was responsible for bringing nearly 3.2 kilograms of meth and 379 grams of fentanyl to Morgantown.
Rodney Johnson was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison following his conviction in March of 2025.
In total, 24 people charged in this case have been convicted and 18 of them have been sentenced.
This case was investigated by the Mon Metro Drug Task Force with help from the FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, DEA, West Virginia State Police, Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office, Monongalia County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Morgantown Police Department, WVU Police Department, Granville Police Department, and the Star City Police Department.
