College basketball players have through Tuesday to enter the transfer portal.
Like many other programs, Marshall is reshuffling its roster on both the men’s and women’s side.
Among new additions for the Herd men’s team is 6-foot-8 junior Boubacar Djigo, who makes the move from Division II Concord to a higher level.
A native of Rocky River, Ohio, Djigo made major strides with the Mountain Lions last season, averaging 16.5 points and 13.3 rebounds and shooting almost 58 percent from the field.
Djigo, the Mountain East Conference Defensive Player of the Year, led the league in double-doubles with 20 and was tied for first in that category among Atlantic Region players.
He finished second in Division II in rebounding and was top 30 in field goal percentage.
The Herd have also received commitments from Canadian high schooler Kenan Gilao and Southern University guard Fazl Oshodi.
Gilao is a 6-8 forward and averaged 21 points and 10 rebounds last season at King Heights Academy in the Toronto suburb of Thornhill, Ontario. He also has experience in the AAU circuit.
Gilao plans to arrive in Huntington after finishing high school later this year.
Oshodi is a 6-3 guard from Swedesboro, N.J., and averaged 8.9 points last season with the Jaguars.
He began his collegiate career at Southwest Mississippi Community College and will be a junior next season.
Oshodi scored a season-high 26 points against Southwest Athletic Conference rival Jackson State on February 2. He also scored 22 points against Sun Belt Conference member Texas State on December 10, 2025.
Several Marshall players that entered the transfer portal have settled on new homes. Swingman Shamarrie Hugie has moved on to Austin Peay, Drew Fuquay is at Western Kentucky, Ryan Nutter has moved to Lincoln Memorial and Caleb Hollenbeck has joined Tennessee Tech.
Early Tuesday, guard Landen Joseph, a key contributor for Jackson’s team last season, announced he would next play at Dayton.

On the women’s side, two players have left Marshall and two are joining the Thundering Herd.
All-Sun Belt Conference First-Team selection and WNIT Most Valuable Player Timaya Lewis-Eutsey offered a commitment to Florida State after announcing her intention to leave Huntington.
The Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year and an-all Sun Belt Defensive Team in her lone season at Marshall, Lewis-Eutsey was a senior with the Herd, but has one year of eligibility remaining.
Lewis-Eutsey scored a single-season program record 741 points last season, averaging 20 per game.
She also holds the Marshall single-season steals record with 141 after recording seven in a win over Illinois State in the WNIT title game.
Guard Timberlynn Yeast was with the Herd the last three seasons but is heading to Robert Morris, who she will play alongside younger sister and incoming freshman Teigh Yeast.
Yeast averaged 6.7 points and recorded 52 steals and was a regular in the Herd rotation last season.
Joining the Marshall women’s program are 6-1 forward Maddie Moody, who played at Northern Kentucky, and 5-11 guard Cassie Gallagher, who is coming to Huntington from USC-Upstate.
Moody started 29 games as a freshman with the Norse last season and averaged 10 points and 6.5 rebounds. She was a member of the Horizon League’All-Freshman team.
In Northern Kentucky’s season-opening loss to Marshall, Moody finished with seven points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots.
Gallagher was a second team All-Big South pick last season as she started 31 games for the Spartans, averaging 15.7 points and three rebounds. She shot almost 40 percent from the three-point line.
Gallagher also faced Marshall last season, scoring 11 points in an 85-54 loss.
