BRAXTON COUNTY, W.Va. –A Braxton County pastor is facing jail time after being found guilty of battery that was “sexually motivated.”

A social media post from Braxton County Prosecuting Attorney said that Jason Lee Allen, 53, was found guilty after a two-day bench trial.
Allen was previously arrested in November 2025 following allegations of “inappropriate physical contact”. Troopers said that this occurred at a marital counseling meeting at Victory Apostolic Church in Flatwoods.
Prosecutors stated that Allen had reached under the skirt of a member of his congregation and touched her leg and thigh. The post said the incident occurred during a meeting between the two.
They also said that Allen allegedly tried to say the victim was a chronic liar and made up the story. However, a video shown during the trial, showed Allen telling investigators that he touched her leg to feel a scar on her lower calf. The video also showed Allen telling officers “He may have touched the victim’s leg further up than her calf, eventually demonstrating touching of her leg from her lower calf to above her knee”
Sentencing is scheduled for May 27. Allen faces up to a year in jail. He also must register as a sex offender for 10 years because the crime was found to be sexually motivated.
