HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. — A dozen handguns were reportedly stolen from a Hedgesville gun shop.
The Berkeley Armory reports that around 3:20 Friday morning, three young males wearing masks, black clothing, and gloves scouted the building, tried to break in unsuccessfully, then returned, smashing the glass in, jumping through the window, and stealing the handguns.
The post from Berkeley Armory reports they were traveling in a “white 4-door sedan and a dark colored mid-sized SUV.”
The Panhandle News Network reached out to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Rob Blair says they are following up on some video leads and still working to confirm the number of weapons stolen.
Sheriff Blair confirms the ATF is involved in the investigation but says there is limited information to be released at this time.
