OMAHA, Neb. — West Virginia was the first of eight Men’s College World Series participants to conduct a 50-minute practice Thursday at Charles Schwab Field.

The Mountaineers (45-15) take on Troy (38-30) at 1 p.m. (CST) in the first game of the MCWS.
