Marion County man charged with soliciting drugs to teenager

FARMINGTON, W.Va. — Deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department have arrested a 34-year-old man accused of providing marijuana laced with fentanyl to a 16-year-old.

Shane Haller (WVRJA)

Police said Thursday Shane Haller offered to supply marijuana to a teenage employee at a Farmington business.

A witness at the business confirmed the allegation to deputies.

Police located Haller later and found him to be carrying marijuana packaged for sale. A field test of the substance also found it was laced with fentanyl.

Haller has been charged with possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and soliciting a minor.

Haller is being held in the North Central Regional Jail on a $100,000 bond.
