WESTON, W.Va. — State police say three men in jail for allegedly stealing from the flooded Weston Walmart are in the U.S. illegally.

Troopers arrested Deivis Diaz, 23, and Daniel Ramirez, 27, along with Oscar Hernandez, 37, on Sunday.
The three were working for an outside contractor, JCSA Services, that’s been hired by Walmart to clean-up the Weston store after it was flooded on July 21.
Troopers reviewed a surveillance video that showed someone breaking out the glass of the jewelry case and six people reaching their hands in to grab something. Fifty-two items were stolen.

Troopers said Diaz and Ramirez stole about $20,000 in jewelry and in a separate case, Hernandez stole a smart ring worth about $50.
A state police news release said, “All three individuals were determined to be in the United States unlawfully and were placed on ICE detainers. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been notified and is expected to initiate removal proceedings.”
All three men are currently in the Central Regional Jail. Diaz and Rameriz are being held on $50,000 bail each. Bail for Hernandez is $7.500.
