Morgantown police investigating hit-and-run involving WVU student

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Detectives with the Morgantown Police Department are investigating a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian that happened early Friday morning in the downtown area.

Police responded to the intersection of University Ave. and Beechurst Ave. at around 1:30 a.m. and found a man identified as WVU student Anthony Li, 23, lying in the roadway.

Witnesses told officers on the scene a sliver or light gray 1990s model Buick LeSabre hit Li.

Li was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. His condition is not known, but the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
