CHARLESTON, W.Va. — An airplane heading from Tennessee to Washington, D.C. made an unexpected stop in the Capital City on Thursday.
A plane carrying several dozen passengers had taken off from Knoxville, Tennessee, but was diverted to the West Virginia International Yeager Airport after reports of smoke in the cockpit. The plane made an emergency landing at around 12:30 p.m. Upon landing the plane, airport officials said no smoke was found.
There were no injuries. Heading into Thursday evening, airport officials were working with passengers to get them to their destination, Reagan National Airport in the nation’s capital.
